The red city has an 18,000 bed accommodation capacity, ranging from tourist-class self catering to luxury hotels: 11,000 beds in five star deluxe hotels 4,163 beds in five star hotels 6,384 beds in four star hotels... comprising more than 64% of the total hotel accommodation capacity of the city. Budget tourism is equally well-provided for in Marrakech with 70 small hotels offering a total of 2,680 beds.
Marrakech has pioneered a new accommodation product in the form of riads-boutique-style self-catering in fully-renovated traditional townhouses, presently providing a total of 2,202 beds.
A new 76 hectare hotel area is due to open soon with stunning views of the mountains and a 40 unit capacity, comprising hotels, self-catering, residential properties and entertainment and amusement facilities. |
